Yesterday was good, with discussions of the new project first with the client, then just me and chervarium, around midnight in “Krivoto”. There was one ugly moment, when somewhere at the end of the meeting I got the news that marla’s power supply died, and I had to call urgently my hardware supplied (who found a new PS in no time, thanks, Micrologix :) ), and to go to Lirex, where it turned out that they (still) don’t have 24h support, and there is nobody available that has keys to the facility … I made an appointment for 8:30 in the morning, which moved to 7:30, thanks to Petko Kolenichev, who showed there in the really early morning.<\/p>\n
The replacement went pretty well, I changed the PS from one that’s 300W to one that’s 350W, and I hope it’ll survive the summer – there is a plenty of air conditioning, and a pretty good UPS power supply, so that shouldn’t be a problem. All this was over around 8:30, and I left, but forgot the old power supply there, so I have to go back there and get it one of these days, to return it to Micrologix (it’s under warranty)<\/p>\n
I have to think about moving the mailing list about marla to some other machine, to be able to tell people about problems with her, without needing marla herself.
