The day was tiring, especially after getting up in the damn early morning, taking the printer back from maintenance (hurray, I’ll be able to waste paper and stop reading articles on the screen), and going through the whole damn construction exhibition in NDK, where I was looking for a holder for my monitor (I didn’t find one, and I’ll be ordering one on the net…)<\/p>\n
For one day I almost doubled my friends list in orkut, I just saw how many people that I know showed in the last few weeks, the effect is somewhat avalanche-like…<\/p>\n
There’s an interesting discussion in linux-kernel about the new raid, but I’m unable to comprehend it, and will probably look into it tomorrow morning…<\/p>\n
For everyone having such machines, and using them as servers – there is a problem with the parallel port support for alpha in 2.4 kernels, my machine died twice with Aiee, killing interrupt handler, while I was trying to get cups to print with te printer, so I had to connect it to one of the windows machines, and to print from my cups on doom (and I can’t connect the printer to doom again, because it’s too noisy, and I won’t be keeping such thing in the room where I sleep).
