Note – this is a personal opinion, someone might find these things nice :)

So, things I don’t like:
1) The ways they build houses – can’t stand it. Low, one-story, just-to-be-there, no style and solid fences. Even a Bulgarian village looks better, even the crap they build in Sofia.
(note, I’ve seen only Phoenix and Los Angeles, they might have better places. I want to see New York some day :) ).
2) The service personnel is PAINFULLY polite. They never pick up the phone with less than 8-9 words (restaurant X, good evening, how may I help you, my name is John Smith), they speak like this the whole time and even come to your table every 5-10 minutes to ask you how you are, do you like the food, etc., which in turn always interrupts the conversation on the table. If they were a bit more laid back, would’ve been far better…
3) To counter this, it’s full of really rude and insolent people. Looks like an antipode of the serving personnel, I felt the desire to whack some people a few times, to make them behave.
4) Imperial units, fahrenheit. Damn it, people, have you heard of the SI system?
5) The women around were either some touched-up models, etc., or they are just ugly. Saw probably only two exceptions.
6) Air port checks – in Europe it was far better, never did they make me take off my shoes, etc..
Update:
7) They way that their whole culture wastes resources, it was even explained to me how this was a part of their culture.

Things that are weird but survivable:
1) There I’m small – everyone is just bigger (taller, etc.), this is not even including the obese ones.
2) The toilets are weird, although I see their point.
3) They take the TV seriously and watch the news.
4) The small social things on how to tip, etc..

Things I even liked:
1) Food. It’s ok, it’s edible, I can live with it if I choose it. Their steaks are good, if cooked well :)
2) Drinks – they have vodka, beer, whiskey… They might not have rakiya, but it’s not like there’s nothing to drink :)

… and last night I got met at the airport by chervarium, Stefan and Irina and we went home to drink :) This is the way to go home :)

And there’s no place like home.

Because some people asked (maybe two :) ) in the comments of the previous post, I’ll describe point by point what I don’t like in the USA and why wouldn’t I live there.
