The information that you can get from news.google.com, can be fit into no more than 5 kilobytes a day. An example (for which I’ll write more below) – an american from Philadelphia, a contractor in Iraq, named Nick Bond, was beheaded. His body was found by american forces, and later a videotape with his beheading by Aby Musad Al Zarqawi (according to some pro-taliban site) was received. It was done as an answer to the torturing of Iraq prisoners by the american forces.

For this information there are 981 articles. If you read them all, you could probably add one or two more sentences to those.

But you cannot just deny that this action, timed with the leakage of the pictures taken in that jail is a really good move of the terrorists, to attract attention. The timing is perfect, the action itself corresponds to the reason (it’s not that outrageous, after all), and the noise level is good. As much as I hate fanatics, I can’t just not give them credit, they did this one very well.

But that won’t stop me from hating fanatical terrorists. After seeing what Plamen Tonev wrote in his blog about the movies ‘Osama’, I got it from him and watched it – and with the some external information I have, I can tell that the film is true, but it’s something really different to see it played by real actors, instead if reading it. I wanted to consult my Quarran(sp?), but I couldn’t find it – I’ve given it to somebody, and I can’t remember to whom (but if he/she is reading this blog, please remember and return it to me :) ). There were some things I wanted to recheck.
I wonder, if it’s possible to find a way to separate the religion/church and the state everywhere. That would be a good beginning.

Some books that came to my mind, that talk about this problem: “Whirlwind” by James Clavel, “Satanic verses” by Salaman Rushdi, “Julian” by Gore Vidal, “Dune” and the “Messiah of Dune” by Frank Herbert… Too bad that the “Limited contingent” by Gromov doesn’t include information on the afghanistan people ….

I think that reading news sites is insulting to every thinking person.
