Another problem was found in the retarded device, it hangs after a while, and stops accepting traffic. If there’s no answer in the next week, we’ll probably be replacing it…<\/p>\n
We remastered knoppix<\/a>, to support all the hardware that we use (the standard linux kernel doesn’t support 3ware 9xxxx raid controllers, and didn’t like the built-in SATA controllers). It turned out to a not really difficult procedure, but required to boot from the live cd for some of it, and wanted a lot of memory (because it holds the compressed filesystem in the memory while creating it, for some strange reason). The first try was a bit strange, because we were able to create a 1.4GB iso, but on the second one (after some cleaning) it built ok, and even worked :)<\/p>\n Next was a meeting at Rosi to discuss the OpenFest<\/a>, were we talked for about hour-two and cleared up some things (we have a program ready :) ), and I wrote three pages of tasks and stuff, which later I sent to the mailing list.
