by Vasil KolevIn the morning I had trouble getting up to go to Webtech for Stallman’s lecture – Velin was able to wake me up with loud music… I managed to go there on time, and turned out that there wasn’t anyone to record his speech, so there really was a reason for me to bring the camera and the easel, to be able to record the lecture (I missed one of the questions, because it turned outt that I haven’t rewound the second tape, really stupid of me (the dropped question was by Velin, who asked Stallman what does he think about Debian’s decision that the GFDL is not a free license, and Stallman answered that everyone is free to decide what ever he/she wants)). In the moment the first part is being uploaded (rsync reports 4 hours remaining, right now there’s a 89MB file, which isn’t the whole one :) , they’ll show up at ludost.net/stallman_wt2005/, and in the linux-bg.news).
Because the lighting in the hall was awful, I’ve recorded with the night CCD, that’s why the movies is mostly green, I haven’t painted it that way :)
The speech itself was so good that I’m not sorry that I had to get up so early :) I also thought that he was a fanatic, but he turned out to be pretty clear and precise. The hall was full (although it didn’t look that way, a lot of people were standing, and some VIP seats weren’t used).
(I feel sleepy as hell)
Last night I finished reading “The lust lizard from Melancholy cave” by Christopher Moore, turned out to be a pretty good book, Asen, thanks for the recommendation :)
