2008-04-12 wail…
by Vasil Kolev… or my life with the neuralgia this year and the reason not to be really adequate and to have dropped the ball on some stuff.
It all started two-three weeks ago with a throbbing headache in the right side of my head, starting (then) from the place where my upper right wisdom tooth resided (which was pulled out two-three years ago). The pain showed in the early morning (around 4-5) and I couldn’t go to sleep for about a hour, even with the aulin and neuralgin …
I went to the dentist, who looked carefully at me, found one broken filling on the other side (which we later changed) and said – dude, your problem is not teeth related, most probably ears-nose-throat. I went to Thorax, where I was examined by a bad case of lack of brain, who prescribed me more walks and an antibiotic, which I took with not a lot of effect.
(and the physical exercise seems to aggravate the problem)
(this was found also experimentally with the mistress….)
After one really bad night I went to the hospital in the business park, where a neurologist examined me and said “neuralgia of the trigeminus”, prescribed me an antibiotic – augmentin, whose pill I had trouble swallowing – (for the previous one she asked – “are they still prescribing this one”), the standard milgama N and one sirup (for painkiller) and said around the fifth of seven days of antibiotic the problem should disappear.
(is it just me that when I almost every time write/say “narcotic” instead of “antibiotic”?)
But no. In the second-to-last day of the antibiotic the problem showed up again (through the day), and last night it hit me so hard I was sitting in my chair and trying not to emit any scary mooing sounds, after which with some help I managed to go to bed and to sleep.. Two hours the aulin and neuralgin were unable to do anything, which makes me think that they don’t work at all and that the problem just goes away…
Monday I’ll be going again to the doctor as she wasn’t in the clinic today. Right now it’s showing itself a bit, but I drank preventively one liquid analgin and I’m staying in my warm room and I haven’t taken off my shawl through half the day…
So – if you’ve spoken to me in the last few weeks and I wasn’t really adequate – drugs and neuralgia are my excuses :)
