2008-08-05 week

by Vasil Kolev

I’m tired.

The week on the hard side of the week included waking in the morning because of a slammed door (something exploded), carrying servers and racks, working Saturday (because there wasn’t other time to take care of a customer), thousands of things on the project, making pidgin builds because of the broken ICQ, taking care of transportations and payments (I hate to be bothered with crap), and one day of working mostly with headphones as the noise from the fans made it pretty hard to hear my thoughts.
(and we’ve started working on another thing that will take at least a year, we’re still planning it)

On the other side “Toll of the Hounds” by Steven Erikson arrived (it starts pretty well, I even replaced my desktop background with picture from the cover), managed before that to read through “Star tide rising” in English by David Brin (definitely in original some things are far better, especially the dirty haiku in the beginning), I also bought a book with mottos from the communism and one with documents from the State security.

I don’t remember most of the rest. Today I drank a coffee to debug a problem and felt really sleep afterwards, so I’m drinking this beer now and I’ll probably sleep afterwards.

It’s even hard to think, it took two hours to finish this. Even the normal human contact tires me…

(but on the other hand today I found some pretty interesting musicians around Popa – with two tarambukas, one ringing thing and a wooden tube tube with one incredible bass sound – I hope to hear them again)
