I finished reading Accelerando by Charles Stross. The book (which turned out to be available online) is full of fun ideas and builds a story from now until one somewhat “fantastic” development of the human race.

Without (hopefully) giving out a lot, I’ll just mention the following fun moments:

To get his daughter out of her mother’s grasp, he arranged for the girl to be sold in slavery to a company in Yemen, controlled by a trust fund, which will became his daughter’s when she reaches 18, and is in fact subordinate to her;
(hack that was possible because of the accepting of different jurispundeces, etc.).

They travelled three light years in a ship with a solar sail, to patch into a router somewhere around a brown dwarf;

The daughter herself found a country, in which to lower the number of corporate lawsuits a “trial by combat” was introduced.

The stuff like Economy 2.0, etc. I’ll leave to you to read :)
