by Vasil KolevI don’t have a net connection at home because of some problem of the connectivity of the cmts-es, but I found out the local network there, and there’s a lot of interesting stuff in it, like a lot of South Park… Too bad I have to blog and read my mail from the laptop.
Yesterday and today I killed a lot of tasks, we tested the electricity when we plug in the UPS with it’s full load – this time there wasn’t any flickering, and the fuse was ok – the new cabling worked :). Another funny moment was its configuration – first I did a reset on the management board, and then the UPS restarted everything connected to it, then I tried setting an IP address, and it did the same shutdown… In the end I gave it an IP (really funny – you have to find its mac address, then to set a static arp for a IP address in the land, and then to send a ping with 113 bytes length… :) ). Now in the nagios the battery, temperature, and utility power are displayed, it’s really nice (but I had to manually find the snmp identificators…).
Because I still don’t have net at home, I might finish reading “Dead souls”, I’m in the middle.
