by Vasil KolevToday I spent some time at BAIT Expo, to see what’s it about. In short – because of the high entry fee (6 leva for the weekdays) the visitors are less than the showers… But for the weekend the fee is 2 leva, and I think it will get flooded. There aren’t many interesting things there, except the shared storage at the booth of AdSys and some racks at some other booths.
But there was something to think about – BTK are having a killer ADSL offer for end users, 256kbps international/peering traffic for ~30 leva, and 1mbps is 150 leva. This will kill a lot of Internet providers – especially those, who have only small end users. Not only that, the access for other ISPs to the ‘last mile’, e.g. delivery over ADSL will be available next year, and until then a lot of the users would’ve bough the service from BTK…
(I’m too sleepy to describe all the effects that came into my head).
