by Vasil Kolev(written at Dublin airport, 1.10).
I managed to get up ok at 5:20 in the morning (but there was nothing normal in the hours), got in time to the airport, my e-ticket was accepted normally, and I even managed to enjoy the wireless interhet while waiting for my flight (this is what they’ve gotten right, in Dublin I have to look around to buy vouchers, and in Prague I hope to find out how exactly can I use the net when I’m flying back).
(And why arent’t there any sockets around on these airports, damn it? I don’t have an endless battery).
The travel to Ireland was ok – just the plane from Prague to Dublin got delayed with 40 minutes and then they kept it some more on the Dublin airport (probably they had some power failure, some pole around the airport was broken).
I liked the weather – dark, windy, with some rain (which could be omitted, and wasn’t in the forecast – but that’s what I deserve for trusting the meteorologists). I got to the place with a cab (which was pretty well equipped:) ), and then about 6 hours of chewing followed (I met a lot of interesting people, and there’s still a problem that we discussed in my head – I didn’t like their solution, I’ll probably discuss it with Delian).
(details – after I get told the result).
After all of this at some point (at which in Bulgaria it should’ve been dark, but there was light here) I wen to the hotel (which was 20-30 meters away), and managed to get a room (turned out that my reservation was for 30.10, not 3009, but they were able to accommodate me), so I went to my room (after securing a converter to the kind of sockets they have here), ate something ordered from the room service, and just fell asleep.
In the morning I got up, had breakfast and wen to the airport, where I’m waiting my flight to Prague (here it’s full with suicidal guys – they’re making everyone take off their shoes at the metal detector). I feel really dizzy, probably because of yesterday.
A few small observations:
1) The Guiness beer sucks.
2) Yes, there’s wireless net almost everywhere, but for most places you have to find some really strange way to pay.
2a) Next time I should take care of the vouchers before I take off.
3) It’s raining here by default, there are clouds, etc. The perfect place for a vampire movie.
4) It’s not a bad idea to work on a understanding spoken English with different accents.
5) Next time I’ll take a convertor to their power sockets.

I think that there’s only one thing that makes me happier than coming home (and that’s none of your business :) ). I can’t describe how happy I am, I’ll just say that it’s really hard to stop smiling :)
