One big event in the day was the discovery of a bug that affected marla – sometimes proftpd gets crazy and starts an infinite loop calling futex() … It seemed very weird to me, because I’ve seen the same problem in thttpd, and then I wasn’t really sure where did it come from – it had just showed after an upgrade of glibc and disappeared after I fixed a few other bugs that made it dump core. There’s a bug report about this, but there isn’t an explanation of the reasons for the problem (I mailed a question to the developer about this). The processes themselves weren’t dying after kill -9 , so I rebooted the machine and then stopped mod_delay (some people are saying that’s the reason for the problem).

We made the first gathering of the council of the Open Projects Foundation, where I was just a listener and wrote the protocol (and it was such a protocol that my old literature teacher would’ve recanted me).

While going home I got some kind of a fever, and have no idea why – I ate normally, I don’t have temperature, and there was nothing to overload me… Damn this organism, where’s the debugging console…
