by Vasil KolevThe day wasn’t easy … I managed to get up at 12, to come to my senses at about 13, and then to go to Marian to get the video camera and then after a pastry I got to Zhoro’s office to finish the presentation for today’s lecture. He had finished the remaining slides, so we just had to do a review and few corrections (in which his Sisi (his wife) helped remotely, that’s a woman-hero (she’s majored in Bulgarian philology :) ).
The lecture itself wasn’t that of a problem – we had some last-minute problems with the long enough power strips, but fixed them. Zhoro spoke for about an hour and 40 minutes about all kinds of nice things (we have a full recording, I’ll leave it to be encoded tonight), and the audience asked all kinds of questions.
After that we celebrated Vlado Karavelov’s birthday in Fans… We drank, had fun, Er golem played (with a guitarist that was damn incredible). It was really merry, I drank a good quantity of whisky (I’m not drinking beer these days because of a sore throat) and decided that going home on foot is a bad idea afterwards :)
(I also wished him that his next reason for a celebration to be the same as Zhoro’s, but he didn’t like the idea :) )
And tomorrow Kotya is celebrating her name-day … How am I going to survive that celebration I have no idea. Getting sick and making the blog to show her only that I’m not well sounds like a good idea… :)
p.s. Chervaium said that he’s stopping the alcohol (for about three months). Let’s help him, because a new liver (with the same endurance) will be hard to find :)
