moving

by Vasil Kolev

I rearranged the living room, moved the machine, the cable with the net… Words can’t describe the thing, so I’ll just say that I had a lot of fun :)

They got me yesterday to participate in an IDG discussion (through their ugly web system), “Advantages of the corporate VoIP solutions”. The participant from Cisco to me looked like a bot based on the Eliza principle and was just pasting information from their brochures, the others were interesting, and from the people that joined to ask questions there were some that really wanted a solution (I hope I managed to help them) and some that had no idea what’s VoIP. True failure, this seemed to me like some way for a few companies to do some advertising, our people did a mistake to send a techie to do marketing work :)
(and seriously, these marketing people sound like bots, they’ll probably fail the Turing test)

In other news – two days of vacation because of one Saturday and one Sunday from the last deployment, and I got woken up one of the mornings with a stupid problem, the other one I found a task in the mail (as I’ve forgotten to turn it off), and Sunday – a deployment at a customer is coming. How not to get drunk :)

(I’m listening to “Gde zhe vashi ruki” (“Where are your hands”) by Shnurov, I have no idea why, but I keep playing it)
