Concert / 20 years Nuclear blast

by Vasil Kolev

The concert for the celebration of 20 years of Nuclear Blast turned out to be pretty good…

It started with a group from Rousse with some really good ideas and horrible implementation (if they take care to arrange the parts in theirs songs, they’ll be incredible), continued with The revenge project (nothing too interesting) and after them Agathodaimon (who were ok).

After them Benediction went up on the stage. I’m not a big fan of their style, but they played great, the mosh was great (I dislocated my shoulder only once :) ), and they gave themselves away :)

Then followed Edguy, who weren’t so interesting (although they did The Imperial March), and in the end came Amorphis.

They were worth the wait. Even with the problems in the sound they were great with their melodic riffs and vocals, played some of their really great songs and finished with Black Winter Day. They didn’t play Higher ground, but I’ll live with it :)

Also I found out again that fate is constantly watching for the good moment to sneak up on your from behind and to hit you with a blunt object. A few times. I have a pretty interesting problem to solve…
(only an idiot like me could call it “interesting”…)
(every time I start being able to tolerate myself, something like this happens that makes me reconsider.)

I’ll write a bit more on the previous posting, after I take care of the “interesting” problem…
