2008-07-20 sorry state
by Vasil KolevSome days ago I found all the 4 seasons of “The New Statesman”, really funny (and dark) comedy made made between 1987 and 1992. Looks like their incarnation of Bay Ganyo in the politics and in some ways really reminds me of our politicians… Also it’s the definite inspiration of the BOFH (Bastard Operator from Hell) by Simon Travaglia.
There seems to be also a reason nobody here to do such things – we’re looking at it all the time in our real political lief. I’ll leave the lists of such cases to some other people (like Delian and Grigor), I’ll talk a bit something else – how people react to it (looking at myself and from some other observations).
We live in an absurd. From the beginning to the end. Getting mad about something is hard, because the organism overloads – so much shit is happening that if you do care, you’ll die of a heart attack in a few months (I for such reasons stopped reading news for a few weeks). The meaning of the protests seems obvious – right now some people are trying to remove the National Park statute from Strandzha, in spite of all that was done against it, and about the corruption and the current events with the stopped funds I don’t really see the point in talking about. Probably I’m not the only one hoping that EU will slap really good our government, but I also doubt very much that this would do any good.
We’ve stopped caring, we’re tired. Most people prefer to do their job and in that way to do something worthwhile, instead of yelling somewhere – because that doesn’t help. That’s maybe the reason that there’s any development in this country – because there are still people that do their job (and who get pissed more and more). They manage do make a corner for themselves in which they live and push and push – because the rest is so completely absurd and meaningless that there are just a few enthusiast left trying to do something. Blogs are writing on this, people are reading them, and they the things die – because nobody has the strength and will to deal with crap. Because what’s left for us (at least which I see) is an armed coup (and knowing the politicians we have, they’ll also sell us the weapons for this).
Just that the coup will have to be repeated a few times and the rulers shot, so on the principle of Pavlov’s dog we could have some rules that could be useful. We’ll have to do the calculation on how much a coup is worth and if the loses from it will be less than the ones from the current pack of idiots that govern us.
As for the elections – let’s see. Every year they change the law, every time it’s the same despicable group (and it’s getting worse, as we’re working on electing a mutra). We’re left with a state apparatus and system full with petty thieves (it was pitiful reading the conversations of the guy from NSBOP who got arrested – for how much money he sold himself).
There are moments for me in which I wonder what the hell I’m doing here, and why don’t I get out and come back in 50 years to see how it all has crumbled, so we can start anew.
