Today through the net the link to these interesting mathematical problems showed around, so I printed a few copies and brought them to IBB…

The result was fun – the first one took a lot of time to think in what direction the constellation should be moving (as there are stars that don’t move too much towards the horizon, and hour and 20 minutes for hight school students seem too much), for the 6th someone was saying that the speed is attainable only by a great athlete, 8th was solved by Stefan using similar triangles, on the 9th we wondered at the slow speed of some things, and for the 11th Irina (who studies too much biology) said that the normal mathematical solution (the one with the difference of volumes) is wrong.

And it was also pretty fun to translate these to a guest …
