Bits from astricon…

I managed to do my lecture reasonably bad (all the stuff from it can be found at www.attractel.com/astricon2008.tgz, including my speech and some sources). I got delayed with the beginning, so I had to cut some stuff out, I could’ve spoken some more on timing and interrupts.

Because the doctors don’t allow me to drink beer, I drink vodka. I was labelled as one the serious alcoholics of the event, once I got told that they’re going to a place that serves yards of beer and they won’t take me, because there weren’t yards of vodka there…
(and I was also labelled as swearing too much)

There are a lot of interesting talks, some of them even clashed, and I’ll probably miss the ones on the PRI implementation in asterisk/zaptel (or, as they call it now, DAHDI), because I’ll be going to the dCAP exam (digium certified something). Let’s see how much will I fail there.

Skype announced this morning their partnership with Digium and that there will be an official binary module with some source code to glue it to asterisk, it’s going in a closed beta now and will show up after some time. Almost the same shit as before.

The event is definitely fun :)
