I haven’t blogged for a long, time, so what happened:

I did a tour of Bulgaria for a week, the route was through Sofia – Svishtov – Dobrich – Varna – Yambol – Sofia, and the last part was on a train (slooow…). I’m really waiting for the moment when there will be a cheap and fast aerial transport…

In Yambol i tried to use a net connection, and I found out that it was much worse than in Dobrich. I thought about the people there, and how much providers here have made their own research, and developed their own solutions for anything in the internet service providing, to lower their expenses, and do things better (like the surge protectors that Dobrich.NET developed themselves). I added this to the lecture for the seminar (and convinced some people from Jambol.NET to come :) )

In the lecture itself there are some new things, and it’s now 8 pages. I’m starting to wonder if I’ll need 3 hours to present it in Stara Zagora…

Right after I arrived in Sofia, I went to the lecture, which was in progress (just went to the apartment to drop my luggage). Desync and chervarium were explaining problems in the programming with IPC, and chervarium showed a method for transmitting data stream through semaphores – really weird, I can’t thing of application that will need this, but it was fun… Interesting, can it be done with only one semaphore, not with 4.

Because I still haven’t found a pub in the nearest vicinity, and because I still don’t have a washing machine, I went to the old apartment to do the laundry, and had breakfast in the old pub. Some habits die hard :)

My TODO list is growing too fast, I had to put some things in a new category, ‘Projects on hold’, and there are 8 items there now. I really have to catch up in the next few days… Looks like I’ll sleep less for some time (and will see if Velin can sleep when I’m typing on the keyboard :) )

I have to setup a server for the old company, and I’m thinking about starting it tonight, and finishing it for a day or two, because there are too many things on my head – friday I was unable to go to the LPI exam (which isn’t a big loss, I can do it at the seminar), I oversleep too much…

On 24th Boyan will be in Sofia again, I hope we meet, because with all my travel and his mountain excursions it isn’t easy to encounter each other :)

Hurray, I have net connection now… So I’m going to fix gaim to understand Cyrillic :)
