by Vasil KolevIt’s over.
It was somewhat calm, looks like everybody freaks out only at the forums. We need registration…
A student showed me a book from SoftPress, from which they’ve taken information – here’s some info about it – to be fair, I really didn’t know that Cisco press are publishing such crap (We all know SoftPress, that needs to be renamed to CrapPress). In this book I read for the first time that the pop3 server receives mail.
So in the end with all the standard problems (Pentchev had some errors in his test cases) we managed to grade all of the software projects, to fill most of the protocols, and to be done with the hard part this semester. Some small things are left (one-two projects, writing the grades in the official protocol, and writing them in the students’ books). We again had a visit from one of the cats (nobody knew what was it’s course project, but judging by the inability of everybody to notice how and where this cat goes, it has something to do with steganographic tunnels through the faculty :) ).
By the way, it’s really interesting what ideas some people get when you tell them “Make a steganographic system”, and nothing more. One group had made a program, that created a message and uploaded it looking like normal postings on some site :)
And I found an interesting exercise, it the weight lifting category – climbing the hill to the faculty with a backpack with all of the graded course papers, all the tests, and my laptop. It’s about 12-15 kg – when I got there, my waist was hurting :)
