Today I had a bad wake-up – it turns out that at some moment last night a fan in marla failed (the one that cools the upper hard drive), and the RAID array started behaving strangely, and in the end machine had collapsed under the load (I have no idea how exactly). We rebooted it, from the first look at the logs I thought that one of the drives is dying, but then I found out that I was wrong – so I brought the two fans from my old case, installed them there (one of those I tied with wires from an UTP cable, the other is just standing in front of the drives … tomorrow I’ll have to bring normal fans :) ), and now it works ok – I just have to run another verify of the array after this one, to be sure that there aren’t any long-term effects.
(maybe I need to get a better case)

In the evening I had a walk with Yavor, we spoke a bit, and I got better – yesterday I had enough work to not be able to get depressed, and had enough reasons to clench teeth, but today wasn’t so, and felt really beat. I have to make a serious conversation at the end of the week, when I gather enough strength.

We also met Pentchev, Bobson and Lina (which wanted to take us to “Last tango in Paris”), we walked a bit, and then went to our homes…

I hate do be feeling so down, now I’ll have to chew on myself for a few days, to get in my normal condition.
