2009-07-16 Pomorie

by Vasil Kolev

I’m in Pomorie. Haven’t been so close to the sea in 7-8 years (4-5 years ago I went to Dobrich).

The week was pretty nasty and then yesterday Velin called and said – I’m thinking about going to the sea and I need a navigator. After he didn’t agree with my observation that with car like his if you’re going to the beach you have to take a girl with you (and after we couldn’t find one :) ), we took off at 16:30 from Sofia and in the evening we quietly arrived in Pomorie (it was calm most of the time, excluding the driving in the dark on the somewhat narrow road from Sozopol onwards).

The place is like every resort… Half-naked women and men, pubs, bars, small children and probably a beach (but I don’t think we’ll get to it). There’s some wireless to btc-adsl (so I don’t need to use the 3G at least in the hotel). It’s a bit noisy (I wondered in the morning if I should throw Velin at the garbage truck, and then we discussed methods on dealing with small children), and for some reason I don’t feel different, it’s like I’m in Sofia (just the net is slower and the bed is softer).

As usual, if someone needs me – I’m not here :)
