2008-04-27 books
Sunday, April 27th, 2008Asen put me in the blogger game for 3×3 books, and because it’s one of my favourite topics, I’d love to join…
The last three books I finished reading were the last of the Malazan book of the fallen – Reaper’s Gale, The Bonehunters and Midnight Tides. How good are they I’ve already written before…
(I’m reading at the moment in parallel “The fake revolution” by Iliya Troyanov, “Reformatorship with no reforms” by Martin Ivanov and the scripts of “Blake’s seven”).
The last three books I’ve bought are:
“Isabel” by Guy Gavriel Kay – I haven’t read something bad from him (even Fionavar turned out to be good)
Ordered and in transit:
The practice of system and network administration, second edition – the bast book on system and network administration, there’s some interesting new stuff in the second edition that has to be read.
“Access denied”, recommended by Bruce Schneier.
“Startide rising”, “Sundiver”, “Kiln people” by David Brin – I want to read them in original.
And things that I want to re-read:
“The big U” and the Baroque cycle by Stephenson;
The stuff by Brin that I’ve ordered in original;
And probably half my library…
I’m passing the torch to Peio, Delian and Moni Vlahov.
